Ashanti Ramsey (YourFairySquadMother) grew up in the small town of San Dimas, California, where they found their love of writing in fanfiction. From collaborative fanfics in composition books to Tumblr, they have shown their passion for crafting stories that can make someone swoon. Though new to the author scene, Ashanti strives to continually improve as a storyteller and to create fully fleshed-out characters that readers can relate to.

Two books that have shaped them are “Dragon Pearl” by Yoon Ha Lee and “You Made A Fool of Death With Your Beauty” by Akwaeke Emezi. Ashanti first released their writing to the world in 2018 after finding community with other Black writers on Tumblr. Their shining achievements there include: ‘Warm Colors’ and ‘Divine Indeed’. When they’re not writing and terraforming worlds in their mind, they are chopping down their never-ending TBR or doing living room karaoke with their family.
